Vancouver Mural Fest Continues to Canvas the Neighbourhood

Thirty new murals in eight different neighbourhoods, art tours and block parties across the city- Vancouver Mural Fest returns, brighter than ever!

With a vigorous brush stroke spread over ten days (Aug 4 – 14), VMF continues to add a splash of colour to our fair city. Having now broken the 300 mural threshold (!!!), the fest is even more of a celebration than it has been in the past. Visitors can expect live music and DJs, food trucks, live art, plus circus and drag performances.

While it all rounds out to what has become one of the very best local art traditions, the main focus is still the outstanding collection of new art.
The fest continues to champion an eclectic mix of voices by showing the true diversity of where we live.
Artists from all backgrounds and styles will be on full view, and you can get to know each one with guided tours through each of the featured neighbourhoods.

You can expect to see new colourful sides of all these local areas: Cambie Village // Downtown // Marpole // Mount Pleasant // North Shore // River District // Strathcona // West End

And once you’ve finished your crawl through the newly painted locales, you can join the closing street party at the Granville Promenade!

There’s so much to do this year, you’ll be thankful that all the new pieces will continue to be on permanent display!
