Vancouver Now! Emily Hermant | Vancouver

Until Nov 22

Kicking off a new series highlighting work that closely relates to the city of Vancouver, Vancouver Now! tells the stories of artists who have found a home in the city and been inspired by it. Emily Hermant creates gorgeous weavings that have been meticulously crafted from wires and cables, pulling the elusive feeling of online technology down to earth like the reins of a great steed that forever marches forward. The effect creates a tactile sense of connection in a city that is often known for its disconnected lifestyle, thanks in no small part to technology.
