If the province of British Columbia could be said to have constructed its own piece of art, that piece could be called Whistler. How appropriate then that the past, present and future of BC art be presented at Whistler’s Audain Museum, itself an architectural sculpture in conversation with the land it sits on.
From Sea to Sky: The Art of British Columbia is an extended presentation of Audain’s Permanent Collection, celebrating its growth from 2016 to nearly 300 works today. On display from November 13, 2025, to May 18, 2026, are carvings, paintings, and photography from notable BC artists alongside other pieces inspired by the province’s incredible environment.

Paintings by Emily Carr, AY Jackson and BC Binning tell the story of this place through colour and shape, while notable photographers Jeff Wall and Vikky Alexander capture what life in BC looks like in modern times. One of the world’s finest collections of Indigenous carving will also be on display, including the museum’s standout piece, the formidable wall-sized The Dance Screen (The Scream Too) by Haida Chief James Hart.

From the rugged coast to the mountains, and all the people that live in between, BC has an abundance of beauty to boast of. Immerse yourself in its wonder at the Audian, while for a limited time, it all lives under one roof.
