Dream State is a collaborative exhibition and installation opening this December at August Studios in Vancouver, bringing together a small group of artists working across various disciplines, such as fashion, photography, painting, weaving and print.

For the third time, Laura Clark and Maya Bergeron from Uni Design will be collaborating, creating a limited-piece handmade clothing collection beyond wearable pieces, rather sculptural textural works of art.

Surrounding them are interpretations of the same source photographs by invited artists; Kirk Gower, Corrina Hammond and Rosemary Burd, each working in their own medium, such as stitchwork, screen printing, painting and more.

The result is an immersive environment where materials, methods, and perspectives intersect. It’s tactile, intimate and rooted in collaboration, a space where the boundaries between garment, artwork and installation are intentionally blurred.
